 What is Solid Panel Construction?

Solid Panel Construction is a panel consisting of an inner core of wood strands sandwiched between surface layers of MDF.

Why should I consider building with Solid Panel Construction?

Solid Panel Construction construction has many benefits, among them are being cost competitive and having a rapid construction time (six to eight weeks for a single storey 200 square metre home).

How can a home be built so quickly?

A Solid Panel Construction constructed home can be build rapidly without compromising quality or strength, due to the pane construction method. The walls and ceilings are erected within two to three days of the slab being laid, after that, the trusses, roofing and windows are fitted.

Is Solid Panel Construction a safe product?

Triboard is a very safe product. The preservatives used in Solid Panel Construction are water based, therefore no solvents are used in the treatment process.

What are some of the advantages of your treatment compared to others?

The preservatives used are organic compounds that will naturally biodegrade in the soil. This is in contrast to some other treatments that are copper or tin based which do not readily biodegrade. Every strand which makes up the board is subjected to the preservative treatment, which ensures the treatment is distributed throughout the full thickness of the board, meaning that any cut does not need additional sealing.

Does Solid Panel Construction have emissions?

Solid Panel Construction meets the "E" zero classification when tested in accordance with AS/NZS 4266.16. To put this into perspective - Solid Panel Construction is an ideal construction material for Asthmatics.

What else do I need to know about Solid Panel Construction?

Solid Panel Construction has been BRANZ approved. For further technical information regarding Insulation qualities, Thermal and Fire Resistance, along with NZ Standards compliance, contact Project Homes on 0800 773 797.
